Description
Where the entertainment world prays
The pittoresque Saint Malachy's Roman Catholic Church is located right between Broadway and Eighth Avenue and is actually more than just a church. St. Malachy's became a primary place of worship for the entertainment community during the 1920's.
Today, St. Malachy's is still an important place for Manhattan's theater minded people and the so-called "Actors' Chapel" is still an important landmark in New York's theater district. The church and chapel are open seven days a week and there are daily masses.
