Description

The iconic Flatiron Building, designed by Daniel Burnham and constructed in 1902, stands 20 stories tall with a unique triangular footprint resembling a giant ship's prow. Its beaux-arts limestone and terra-cotta facade, built over a steel frame, is a sight to behold. To truly appreciate its beauty, visitors should head to the traffic island north of 23rd St between Broadway and Fifth Ave, where there is seating and a beer and wine kiosk to further enjoy the view.
